Alhamdulillah, KYS has successfully conducted Quran Hour 2026.
During this meaningful session, students and staff gathered to recite and reflect on selected ayahs from Surah Al-Baqarah that remind us of the obligation and wisdom of fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan.
May the knowledge and reflections gained today strengthen our faith and guide us in becoming better Muslims. May Allah accept all our ibadah and grant blessings to the entire KYS community.

Strength, discipline, and dedication are the core values embodied by our Triathlon team. Though established not long ago by committed athletes and dedicated coaches, the KYS Triathlon Team has already achieved remarkable success in triathlon competitions around the world.
Today, we received a special recognition from Mr. Andy Foo, CEO of 113 Venture Global, who has also organized many triathlon competitions that our team has participated in and will continue to compete in the future.
This recognition has further ignited the passion within our team, strengthening our determination to perform even better in the upcoming triathlon championships. A special thank you to all our coaches for their tireless dedication in guiding and training our athletes to reach this level of excellence.

Today’s formal assembly reflected our shared commitment to excellence in every aspect of school life. Together, we continue to strive, grow, and uphold the standards that define our pursuit of excellence.

KYS students demonstrated their skills in navigating drones as they participated in a selection session for the Melaka Drone Challenge in June 2026. During the try-outs, students were also briefed on flying techniques, safety procedures, and the regulations involved in operating drones responsibly.

Learning to fly drones is becoming increasingly valuable as the technology is widely used across many professional industries. It also encourages creativity, innovation, and exploration while promoting responsible and safe usage.

Everyone was on the edge of their seats during the final round of the KYS Junior Debating Championship 2026 as Team Jujur A took on Team Amanah A in a thrilling exchange of ideas and arguments.

We always enjoy a good debate, especially when the points presented are thoughtful, insightful, and truly thought-provoking.

Congratulations to the winning team, and well done to all Form 1 students for participating in your very first debate championship at KYS.

Twenty KYS students attended the Ramadan Iftar & Full Moon Eclipse Observation event held at Masjid Cina (Al-Mutaqin), Melaka on 3 March 2026. They are active members of the KYS Astronomy Club, driven by a strong curiosity and passion for the field of astronomy.

Through the study of astronomy, Muslims around the world are able to accurately determine the Qibla (direction of Mecca), establish precise prayer times, and identify the beginning of months in the Islamic calendar. Programmes like this not only deepen scientific understanding but also strengthen the connection between faith and knowledge.
